is this one taken in 2006. I don't celebrate Diwali; it is not one of my favourite festivals (do I even have one?). Yet, over the last few years when my sister has been here with her kids, getting together with family has become the norm. This Diwali was the first when my 6-year-old nephew took his first steps towards bursting crackers on his own. Even as he ventured out into the unknown, his father stood by - watchfully - just in case the younger one needed a helping hand.
