All those who protested loudly about how India was depicted negatively in the movie that is making waves all over (which I didn't think too much about, by the way), do read this.
Will this ever change? Why don't I feel too hopeful about it?

"Our slums house human beings and not dogs." And when you look at that sewage-business link, one wonders what we Indians ourselves treat our fellow "geniuses" as. Patriotism. pah.
This entire Slumdog millionaire thing also raises so many more points to our thinking... Though the west is willing to go of its prejudices, we hang on to them.
From TOI this morning: "Western dancers in dazzling pink outfits danced to Rehman's tunes, while gora men in traditional dhotis played on drums."
What if the US mainstream papers had reported this as a win using discriminatory terminology?
